“This conference embodies our commitment to RIAs — to provide best-in-class software combined with the education necessary to ensure that they are using our product suite to maximize efficiency and increase productivity in their practices” said Stuart DePina, Group President, Envestnet | Tamarac. “Every year, we listen to our advisors and develop our conference program based on their feedback. This year, that led us to include a practice management track.”
While previous years’ conferences were strictly devoted to helping advisors make better use of the Tamarac suite of products, for 2012 a program track, focused on a range of practice management topics, aimed to provide advisory firm principals with additional education and insights was added.
Within the practice management track, a session on emerging trends in portfolio construction drew upon the expertise of Tim Clift, managing director and Chief Investment Strategist for Envestnet | PMC®. Another session featured Envestnet | Prima’s Group President J. Gibson “Gib” Watson, who talked about the challenges in finding fixed-income solutions and best practices in wealth management. A panel on mergers and acquisitions featured executives from industry-leading firms HighTower, United Capital and Focus Financial, who discussed what they look for in potential merger partners.
“This is without a doubt the most successful Tamarac user conference to date. By delivering both software training that will greatly enhance the operational productivity of RIAs, along with the addition of our practice management track, we are confident that attendees will walk away with the tools and insights to help transform their practices,” said Stuart DePina. “With the merger of Tamarac into Envestnet, we are able to draw on the intellectual capital available in other divisions of the company and deliver a truly unique educational experience.”
